Liquid Aeration

At GrassRoots Turf of Atlanta, our team of experts knows the Atlanta area like the back of their hand. As locals, we know the ingredients for a beautiful and thriving lawn. Our passion is making the lawns in Atlanta, Decatur, and Stone Mountain look their very best. We use liquid aeration and fertilization services to balance your soil’s pH and keep your turf healthy and thriving.

Liquid aeration is a simple, non-invasive process that helps your lawn absorb the nutrients that it needs. Applied as a liquid, our aeration process creates microscopic holes that help water, fertilizer, and oxygen flow to the roots. Are you wondering if liquid aeration would be a good choice for your Atlanta lawn? Here are a few of the questions that we are asked the most about liquid aeration.

Why should I aerate my lawn?

Over time, the soil in your yard can become compacted, which makes it difficult for water, fertilizer, and oxygen to reach the turf’s roots. Without these essential nutrients, your lawn can look patchy and shabby. Aeration works to reduce soil compaction and create space for the nutrients to reach the roots. After an aeration treatment with GrassRoots Turf, your lawn’s roots are able to spread out and grow stronger. As an added bonus, your turf will be more resilient to foot traffic, heat, and drought.

What makes liquid aeration better than traditional aeration?

Other lawn care companies may use mechanical aeration, which uses a small machine to penetrate the soil. While this is effective for some terrain, liquid aeration has the best results for our Atlanta area. Liquid aeration penetrates deeper and balances your soil’s pH, which is essential to its overall health. Liquid aeration is also less invasive and does not traumatize the grass or soil because it is applied as a liquid. We are also able to cover a much larger area of your yard with the liquid aeration method.

What time of year is best for liquid aeration?

Your technician will help you determine the best time to apply liquid aeration, but in general:

Warm season turf – including Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede, and St. Augustine – should be aerated between April and June.

Cool season turf, such as fescue, should be aerated in September and October.

How quickly will my liquid aeration treatment work?

Your liquid aeration treatment will begin working in about 24 hours. Depending on the climate and humidity levels, you may notice results after 4 days. If you have questions about the results you are seeing, our friendly and helpful Atlanta team is always available to discuss the process with you. For the best results, it is important to water your lawn for at least two weeks after the treatment. Ready to get started? Call us now for more information!
