About The Owner
After years in the corporate world, Jacob decided it was time for a change—one that aligned with his passion for lush, healthy lawns and landscapes and strong community values. After years of dreaming of starting a business and creating jobs, Jacob couldn’t ignore it anymore. That’s why he took the leap and partnered with GrassRoots Turf to create GrassRoots Turf of Birmingham. Combining Jacob’s love for lawns and GrassRoots Turf’s decades of experience and expertise was the perfect fit.
I’ve always been a yard nerd and for the last 10 years, I’ve customized my own grass treatment program. Now, I’ve turned that passion into a business that helps homeowners achieve beautiful thriving lawns, shrubs and trees while providing honest, reliable service. My parents made me pull weeds as kid (great for character building), but preventing weeds in the grass is much more efficient!
At GrassRoots Turf, we believe a great lawn isn’t just about curb appeal—it’s about creating a space where families make memories, neighbors connect, and communities grow stronger. With a focus on quality, integrity, and personal service, Jacob is proud to serve local homeowners who value their outdoor spaces as much as he does.
Jacob grew up in the Birmingham area and has watched it grow over the years. You can typically find him coaching his two boys at the ballpark, gym or soccer/football field. Jacob lives in Hoover and enjoys all that Birmingham area has to offer, especially the food! I’ll see you in the lawn! It’ll be Weed Free and Green if you partner with GrassRoots Turf of Birmingham.
